Dr. Vasanthkumar Perla, Assistant Station Director and Program Head of Akashvani Mangaluru has been adored with ‘Karavaliya Kalpatharu’ award presented by Sneha Samskrutika Sangha, Bengaluru and Nethranjali Dance Academy, Hyderabad in a befitting function at Hyderabad. The function, ‘South Indian Cultural Festival – 2016’ was held at Sundaraiah Science Centre, Hyderabad on Sunday, 23th October 2016 and witnessed by a large gathering comprised both Kannada and Telugu people.
“Dr. Perla is working in the literary and cultural field since last 40 years and marked his footprints as a media person and as a writer and poet too. His works involve in the field of research, compilations and prose as well” said Shri Harikrishna Punarooru, past president of Kannada Sahitya Parishath, Bengaluru while presenting the award.Smt. Nagadeepika, well known Advocate of Hyderabad participated as chief guest and other scores of luminaries were present on the dais. The gathering was witnessed with day-long Classical Dances by individuals and reputed dance troupes of South India.
