In his inaugural address chairman Dr.A.Surya Prakash highlighted the role of AIR and Doordharshan as Public service Broadcaster in preserving National unity and Integrity, Promoting different language and culture. Promoting democratic values, disseminating developmental news that benefit the society, promoting major national programmes. This programme was relayed by all stations in Tamilnadu and Puducherry region.
