Chennai born Sindhuja Rajaraman, at 14 years, had become the youngest chief executive officer (CEO) in the country. This was 2011. A ninth-standard student of Velammal Matriculation School, Sindhuja took over as the CEO of Seppan Entertainment Pvt Ltd, reported Business Standard.When children of her age are concerned about securing marks in exams, Sindhuja had gone far ahead and enlisted her name in the Guinness World Record for being India’s youngest CEO and 2D animator.Sindhuja is born to a family of super achievers. Her father is the first digital caricaturist in Tamil Nadu and her younger sister is the youngest Indian to write haiku (form of Japanese poetry) in India. Sindhuja has worked on all kinds of software – Flash, Photoshop, Corel Painter, After Effects and Maya. She has made short films on the issues like global warming and tuberculosis. Sindhuja headed a team of 18-25 year olds at Seppan, which was founded in 2010.
“I started learning animation when I was in sixth standard. The first three works in 2D were service-oriented and are available on YouTube,” Sindhuja says. “I am proud to be an animator. The CEO is just a post given in this company. I am learning more to make myself worthy of the post. Age is no bar for animation. Anybody can do it,” she says.Kumaran Mani made her the CEO of Seppan to honour her skills and give her a platform to build a career. At Seppan, she worked with 10 other employees and gave training in corporate affairs. Then, Sindhuja was working on three projects there, including a project to create a replica of Thyagaraya Nagar, a shopping hub for Chennaiites. Born on January 26, 1997, Sindhuja is now 19-years-old.
