Engineers’ Day, the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna M. Vishwesharaiyya was celebrated at Akashvani Auditorium, Shivaji Nagar, Pune on 15-09-2016 by the Pune Chapter of Broadcast Engineering Society (India).
Apart from screening a film on Bharat Ratna M.Vishwesharaiyya, the team of the students of college of Engineering, Pune, who have designed the satellite “Swayam” was felicitated on stage. It may be recalled that these students were also felicitated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India for their outstanding achievement.
Akashvani Pune also presented mementos to Shri Chandrashekhar Nagarkar PEX, Shri Kishore Nale, SEA and Shri Prashant Gawade LDC, who were selected as the employees of the month. The function was graced by Shri Shyamlal, Additional Director General (E-WZ), who inspired the audience by his speech. The event was also attended by senior officers of Doordarshan Pune, CCW and all wings of Akashvani Pune.
