S Ganesan, Staff Artist, AIR, Madurai passed away on 20th August 2016. Popularly known as Trichy Ganesan, is the relative of late Chembai Vaidhyanatha Bhagavathar. He has been associated with All India Radio Madurai since June 1988. He had an in depth knowledge of the intricacies of Carnatic Music. He has performed in various stages and was honoured with Madura Kala Mani, Gana Praveena and various other awards. He has produced many software in-house programmes on Stalwarts of Classical music and their expertise. May his soul rest in peace.
